Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, a two-person, married-couple role living on campus in student homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role progresses from nine consecutive days on duty with three off, to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person and relocation assistance. Candidates must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and have a high school diploma or GED, with a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
