Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married couple) needed to live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of ~8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine days on, three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation per couple around $168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
