Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married couple) at Milton Hershey School on campus in Hershey, PA, serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. After initial nine days on duty followed by three days off, couples may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Salary per person is $44,768 with comprehensive benefits including relocation assistance and paid training; includes housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
