Job Summary
Houseparents provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes, residing as a two-person married couple. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, chapel attendance, and budgeting/reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to model positive behavior for students
Additional Requirements
- Must be a legally married couple for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
