Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School are a Full-time Flex Houseparent couple living on-campus to supervise and guide a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparents to Placed Houseparents with consistent supervision of the same student group. Benefits include salary per person plus housing and meals, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training. Requires experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lead devotions and Chapel services, and adherence to campus policies on smoking and alcohol.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for married couples
- Must reside on-campus in student homes
- On-duty schedule nine days on, three days off
