Job Summary
Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on campus and jointly care for a group of 8–13 students in a student home. They provide daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. They oversee budgeting and household reporting, and operate a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. The role is a two-person couple position; both spouses must complete individual applications and be legally married for at least two years. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to drive student home vans; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have experience working or volunteering with youth. The campus enforces a smoke-free and weapon-free environment with no alcohol on duty, and there is a limit on dependents. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
