Job Summary
Full-timeFlex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement, relocation assistance, paid time off, and more. Qualifications include experience with youth, a legally married two-person couple for at least two years with both spouses age 27+, up to three dependent children, a smoke-free/weapon-free campus, no alcohol on duty, pet limits, a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lead devotions and attend chapel services, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
