Job Summary
Houseparents - Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Two-person, married-couple role living on-campus to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group in their own home. This position includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package; requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse eligible for two-person role
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
