Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living on-campus in student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students, provide mentorship and guidance, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee household routines and budgeting, with a nine-days-on/two-three off cycle and eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same home. Compensation includes per-person salary of $44,768 with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of married status, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus and a low-dependency household environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of marriage minimum
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
- Ability to lead students in devotions and accompany to Sunday Chapel
- Comfort with driving student home vans
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Prohibited items and behavior on campus (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty)
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
