Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent positions at Milton Hershey School located on campus in a student-home setting. Couples reside with a group of 8–13 students, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of routines, administer medications, drive and accompany students to activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel attendance, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and support multiple student homes with a nine-on/three-off cycle before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to drive student vans, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, experience with youth, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Benefits include salary per person (approx. $44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Applicants must be a legally married couple aged 27 or older, with at least two years of marriage, and both spouses must complete individual applications. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role-model responsibilities for students
