Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-time Flex) live in on-campus student homes with a pair of students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and coordination of household routines for groups of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting, and reporting. The role starts as nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided; compensation per person is $44,768 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. Both spouses must submit individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, two-year minimum marriage
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
