Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent roles on Milton Hershey School’s campus in Hershey, PA. Live in student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, including daily routines, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially support multiple homes on a nine-on, three-off schedule, then transition to a single placed home with the same group of students. Includes on-campus housing, meals while on duty, medical/dental/vision benefits, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; both spouses must apply and be at least 27 years old, with married status for at least two years.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
