Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Residents live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; salary per person $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits; benefits include health, retirement, and housing/meal provisions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-year marriage requirement
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
