Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person) live on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting/reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent arrangement with a same-group home; includes relocation to Hershey, PA, and provides comprehensive benefits, health coverage, and paid training. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and eligibility for two-person married-couple employment; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be 27+ years old.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older

- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Reliance on on-campus housing and live-in role for students in a home setting
