Job Summary
Two-person married couple full-time Flex Houseparents needed to reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Conway, AR, guiding and supervising a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-days-on/three-days-off duty to a placed houseparent living with the same students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort leading religious activities with a Judeo-Christian focus. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and be willing to relocate to Hershey, PA to work on-campus with a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus with students
- Pass background checks and demonstrate integrity and professionalism
- Ability to follow a schedule (nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off) and transition into a placed houseparent role
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- High school diploma or GED required
