Job Summary
Two-person on-campus Houseparents (full-time Flex Houseparents) reside in student homes at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA area, supervising approximately 8–13 students, providing care, mentorship, supervision of daily routines, medications administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-on / three-off duty cycle transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home; requires relocation to Hershey/Franklin area, a valid U.S. driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and legal, two-year married couple eligibility, plus strict campus conduct and safety expectations; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to be certified to drive student home vans
