Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School's on-campus student homes. Full-time Flex Houseparents provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~8–13 students, live in on-campus homes, and follow a nine-on/three-off schedule transitioning to a placed Houseparent role. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, accompanying students to chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment. Requires married couple living on-campus, two-year marriage minimum, and both spouses must apply individually. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
