Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in a on-campus student home. Provide care and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-on, three-off duty cycle before transitioning to a placed houseparent role. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; a high level of commitment to student success from both spouses is required. The role requires living in the student home and overseeing a structured, family-like environment with 8–13 students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
