Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and daily care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role in a dedicated student home. The role operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, with relocation to Hershey, PA, and includes comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person employment applications required
