Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) reside on-campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, and supervision; duties include administering medications, driving to activities, planning development/recreation, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-days-on/two-to-three-off style before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Located on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires a two-year-married couple, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with campus rules.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff as role models
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
