Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married couple) needed on a full-time basis to live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring ~8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and supporting multiple student homes before transitioning to a placed Houseparent role. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. This on-site role includes relocation support, housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must apply separately. Benefits include salary per person $46,917 and overall compensation around $180,000 per couple, plus medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and PTO.”,
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couple
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
