Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in Hershey, PA, to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary per person is $44,768 (approx. $168,000 per couple total). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person role for couples
- Complete individual employment applications for both spouses
