Job Summary
Married couples live in on-campus student homes as Full-time Flex Houseparents, providing supervision, mentorship, supervision of household routines, medication administration, driving students to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel for a group of about 8–13 students. The role includes planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent assignment with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, comfort leading devotions and chapel services, and eligibility to relocate to Hershey, PA; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be at least 27 years old. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
