Job Summary
Married couples work as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Duties include supervising daily routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple student homes before transitioning to a placed Houseparent role with a consistent student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment applications must be completed by both spouses
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Two-year marriage requirement (spouses)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proficiency with student supervision and household management
