Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role requires both spouses to complete individual employment applications
