Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, housing 8–13 students in a student home. A two-person married couple provides care, supervision, mentorship, and guidance, managing household routines, student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent houseparent assignment living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
