Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparent team at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine-on/three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent within a student home. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and a commitment to the institution’s Judeo-Christian environment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Alcohol prohibited on duty
- Campus requires safety and professionalism
- Must be willing to relocate to Hershey, PA (on-campus housing provided)
