Job Summary
Houseparents needed for Milton Hershey School to join a married couple in a Full-time Flex Houseparent role. The position entails residing in on-campus student homes with a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance; managing household routines and student schedules; administering medications; transporting students to activities; planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities; leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; overseeing budgeting and reporting. Work schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse/ married couple requirement
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
