Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Couples reside in student homes, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead devotions and Sunday Chapel, supervise budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine days on/three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires two-person married couple team, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, high school diploma or GED, and willingness to engage in a faith-based campus for Judeo-Christian services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
