Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, living on-campus in student homes and supervising 8–13 students. Responsibilities include providing daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and weekend chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off rotations to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires two-spouse, age-27-or-older, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; positions are on-campus Full-time with on-site living.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
