Job Summary
Fully-supported, on-campus two-person Houseparent role for married couples dedicated to supervising and mentoring 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Location is Hershey, PA on Milton Hershey School campus with initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, followed by placement in a stable student home. Requires relocation to Grandview, TX for the hint of location and a strong commitment to student-centered care, safety, and faith-based activities. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to be certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
