Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents position at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, for married couples. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing recreational and developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with eventual placement in a single student home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, retirement) available; salary $44,768 per person (~$168,000 per couple). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
