Job Summary
Houseparents needed for Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students. The role begins as a Full-time Flex Houseparent with a nine-on/two-off cycle, transitioning to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Requires a legally married, two-spouse team aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass training and drive student home vans. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; position offers full-time employment with on-campus housing and meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
