Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The role involves residing in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and a structured family-like environment for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a later transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model for students
