Job Summary
Houseparents provide care, guidance, supervision and support for 8–13 students in on-campus homes; responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and managing household routines and reporting. Flex Houseparents work a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home role. Full benefits are provided, along with relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
