Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married-couple) live on-campus in student homes to supervise, mentor, and support ~8–13 students, coordinating daily routines, transportation to activities, and devotional/chapel participation. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household schedules and budgets, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and transitioning from a Flex Houseparent to a Placed Houseparent role. Requires on-campus residency, full-time schedule (nine consecutive days on, then three off), and relocation to Hershey, PA with on-site housing benefits. Qualifications include experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to a smoke- and alcohol-free campus environment. This is a two-person role for legally married couples, with both spouses applying individually.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
