Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts as a nine-on, three-off duty schedule and can transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits, with salary stated per person. This is a two-person, on-site, full-time position for legally married couples.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
