Job Summary
Two-person married couple sought to live in on-campus student homes as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. They will provide care, supervision, and mentorship for groups of 8–13 students, managing household routines, medications, transportation to activities, and development of academic, emotional, and social growth. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on / three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role living with the students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 (approximately $180,000 total per couple with housing, meals, utilities, and more), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
