Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School, living on campus to supervise and guide groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation of students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, and training; requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, eligibility to drive student vans, and commitments to safety, sobriety, and a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Must be a legally married couple for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children in the home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
