Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Willard, OH. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of ~8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. The role requires teamwork between spouses, living on campus, and a commitment to student development within a structured, family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
