Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time, two-person married couple) reside on an on-campus student home at Milton Hershey School to care for 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and support with routines, medications, and wellness. Responsibilities include driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a family-like home environment. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to aPlaced Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married for consideration (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Experience or volunteer work with youth
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
Additional Requirements
- Two-person married couple only
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
