Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on an on-campus student home in Waterloo, IA (relocation to Hershey, PA noted in posting) and provide care, supervision, and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role follows a nine-on, three-off duty schedule initially, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
