Job Summary
Two-person Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School on-campus homes for 8–13 students. Couples reside in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a fixed student-home houseparent role. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary per person is $46,917 (approx. $180,000 total per couple).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married couple allowed (two-person role)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA (relocation assistance provided)
