Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The couple resides in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Requires experience with youth, a two-year marriage minimum, age 27+, and other compliance details; candidates must complete individual applications for both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouses role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
