Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, ensure student wellness, and drive students to activities. Plan and actively engage in developmental and recreational programs, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. Oversee household reporting and maintain a structured, family-like environment. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time while students are in school. Transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, aged 27 or older, and hold a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
