Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School for married couples. Couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home) and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care, including managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential progression to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided; benefits include comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
