Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to provide supervision, mentorship, and care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and can transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, with salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits. Requires high school diploma or GED, U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student home vans, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Applicants must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be at least 27 years old; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
