Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, working as a two-person married couple to supervise and support a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty to a placed houseparent role with a consistent home assignment. The role combines caregiving with student development in a structured, family-like environment and includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on student success.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Capacity to reside on campus in on-site homes
- Two-spouse employment applications required
