Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents for married couples living on-campus in student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent in a dedicated student home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with comprehensive benefits, paid training, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
