Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents needed to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and handling budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group in their home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
